Nuvei runs its clients' entire payment operation end-to-end: card networks, alternative payment methods, fraud and risk, smart routing, global payment rails, reconciliation, dispute handling, compliance, and 24/7 monitoring. It also includes integrations into clients' ERPs, commerce systems, and finance and reporting tooling. Payments don't operate in isolation; they have to land cleanly inside the systems the rest of the business runs on. That's where the friction lives.

Smart Data operates as a dedicated managed services line within Nuvei's client support structure. The engagement is ongoing rather than project-based. The team is delivered from Smart Data's Global Development Center, structured around specialized engineering depth rather than generalist ticket triage. The skill set is specific: people who know both payments infrastructure and Sage financial systems well enough to be useful from day one on a complex integration issue.

Project Challenge
