Project Overview
Carlisle moved two core finance processes from dated, manual steps into a single SAP Fiori experience. The program consolidated CAPEX approvals and rebate settlements, added SSO, introduced rule based routing, and provided role based dashboards. The platform keeps SAP as the system of record while giving users a focused daily interface.
Project Challenge
Legacy steps slowed decisions and created risk. Finance needed auditability, end to end tracking, and tighter integration with SAP. Controllers preferred modeling in Excel, so the solution had to respect existing habits while improving data quality, approval controls, and visibility.
Project Approach
Smart Data delivered a set of SAP Fiori applications on a shared platform and design system.
Workstreams included:
CAPEX modernization, with Excel import capability and rules based routing for approvals.
Rebate settlement modernization, consolidating program and settlement workflows in one interface.
Direct SAP actions on approval, creating internal orders and linking postings back to the workflow for auditability.
Role based dashboards and notifications for queue management and trend analytics. The team used rapid iterations and close collaboration with controllers to protect existing processes while improving governance.
Project Results
Smart Data provided full support across design, development, deployment, and post-launch phases. The mobile solution significantly improved the client’s inventory accuracy, order speed, and sales rep efficiency.
