Scaling content production with generative AI automation

LunchTable, a Cincinnati-based fan engagement and brand amplification platform, partnered with Smart Data to integrate Generative AI capabilities into their software. The goal was to streamline social media content creation and empower users to generate industry-relevant post captions with ease. Smart Data implemented a flexible, OpenAI-powered integration that aligned with Lunchtable’s vision for scalable, automated content workflows.

The challenge

LunchTable’s growing user base needed a way to generate high-quality, on-brand social media content quickly. Existing workflows were time-consuming and required manual creativity, limiting scalability and engagement. The company sought an AI-powered solution that could accommodate both structured input (like industry and topic selection) and unstructured user-generated content, while ensuring brand voice consistency and ease of use.

The solution

Smart Data implemented a suite of ChatGPT-powered features through offshore development support:

  • Industry-Based Caption Generation – Users select their industry and a topic to receive AI-generated captions tailored to their audience.
  • Free Text-to-Caption with Keyword Extraction – Users can input custom text and receive a polished caption plus keywords for related image sourcing.
  • Rewriting Tool for Caption Variations – The system can generate hundreds of alternative captions based on a single input, ideal for A/B testing and personalization.
  • Each component was customized for LunchTable’s platform and content strategy, with a focus on speed, user experience (UX) and long-term flexibility.

The results

The successful integration not only streamlined content workflows but also enhanced LunchTable’s value proposition to customers, enabling them to activate fans and brand ambassadors through social content. Smart Data delivered a reliable, scalable Generative AI solution that:
