Winsupply, a national leader in wholesale distribution, sought to expand its global operations through the creation of a new Global Development Center (GDC) in Hyderabad, India. To support this ambitious initiative, scaling to over 100 engineers, Winsupply deepened its partnership with Smart Data. The goal: build a high-performing offshore team that could deliver value across mission-critical domains. Standing up a new offshore center requires more than hiring. Winsupply needed a strategic partner to help establish infrastructure, align development practices with U.S. teams, and ensure the new offshore team could contribute meaningfully across operations, inventory, marketing, AR, and AP. Project Results
Over the span of a year, Smart Data accomplished several milestones for Winsupply. They successfully recruited over 40 talented individuals for the offshore team, established a comprehensive offshore facility, and implemented robust business processes. The offshore team is currently focused on developing solutions in five different domains: ops IT, inventory, marketing IT, accounts receivable, and accounts payable. SmartData also equipped Winsupply with cutting-edge technologies. The team’s technological expertise includes AS400, RPG, DB2, Java, Angular, and Selenium for QA automation. This partnership extended beyond staff augmentation, as Smart Data provided mentoring and training to Winsupply’s developer and project teams.
